Immigration

Our firm has a well-established immigration practice, known as MBB immigration. Our immigration team is very accomplished in challenging immigration decisions made by government bodies. In this area, well written submissions are extremely important to make the government reconsider its decisions. The submissions also form a strong basis for a review by the courts of law in case the deciding officer declines to reconsider their decision.

Our team is experienced in judicial review and is very familiar with the principles of challenging a decision. If you are aggrieved by a decision, based on wrongful evaluation of the evidence submitted, please consult us and we will be happy to provide valuable advice that can dramatically change the outcome.

Very often, applicants from overseas do not understand our judicial sanctions of government actions. When one becomes an immigrant, their rights are subject to the protection of the laws of Canada, including the Charter of Rights and Freedoms. Even the rights of foreigners, which are limited, can sometimes be tied into the sponsor of the applicants, and the sponsor has the right to challenge the decision. The principles of natural justice can also help if the government has made certain statements to which they can be held.

MBB Immigration has an extensive history of providing expert guidance and representation in immigration matters, including:
