Jensen Yuen

Counsel
Barrister & Solicitor

Jensen Wing Bong Yuen grew up in Toronto, Ontario and obtained his Bachelor of Science (Hons.) at the University of Toronto.  He then went on to read laws at the Manchester Metropolitan University in the UK, after which he completed the Post-graduate Certificate in Laws (PCLL) program at the University of Hong Kong, a one-year intensive professional legal training program.

After serving a year of pupillage (articling) with several prominent members of the Hong Kong Bar, which includes a short stint as a Judge’s Marshall at the High Court of Hong Kong, Jensen was called to the Hong Kong Bar in 2013 as a Barrister-at-Law.

Over the years, he developed a successful specialized practice in personal injuries litigations where he was frequently entrusted to handle complex and high value claims.  He was also an avid supporter of the Hong Kong Duty Lawyer Services, including its “Legal Advice Scheme”, which operates as a government funded legal clinic, and was a certified panel lawyer of the “ Convention Against Torture and Non-refoulement Claims Scheme”, which provides legal assistant for claimants under the 1951 Refugee Convention of UNHCR.  He was also a panel lawyer in the Hong Kong Legal Aid Scheme.

Jensen was called to the Ontario Bar in 2019.  Practising as a sole practitioner in association with the well-established Markham law firm Metcalfe, Blainey & Burns LLP, Jensen provides client-focused and practical legal services in a wide range of areas including civil litigation, corporate and commercial matters, real estate matters and wills and estates administration.

Jensen is fluent in English, Cantonese and Mandarin.
